Can I please bring your attention to the following meeting on Monday 7th March. Some of you may have been involved in activities with the development of Sound Scotland (initially known as the Scottish Sound Archive). We are entering a new phase of Sound Scotland which involves the start of some exciting new projects. As such we are changing the way we engage with stakeholders of sound collections in Scotland. This meeting will be the first of the new style of open meetings.
We encourage all to attend who wish to participate in working collaboratively with organisations to secure fragile and important sound recordings for future generations, and to open up these collections to public ears. We particularly encourage those who are responsible for sound collections in archives, libraries and museums as well as community and private collections. We also want to connect with people who work in public engagement and learning with these and other relevant collections.
You can let us know you are coming by registering on the following page https://www.eventbrite.com/e/sound-scotland-stakeholder-group-tickets-21525515396
If you are unable to attend but would still like to be involved in Sound Scotland or would like to know more, please get in touch with me at [log in to unmask] or with Amy McDonald, Engagement & Learning Co-ordinator (Connecting Sound Scotland) at [log in to unmask]
