We seek outstanding candidates for the positions of Associate Professor and Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Statistics within Mathematical Sciences and the Southampton Statistical Sciences Research Institute.
Mathematical Sciences forms part of the Faculty of Social, Human and Mathematical Sciences, which brings together a unique range of disciplines and is committed to tackling the world’s biggest challenges through interdisciplinary research. You will also be a member of the Southampton Statistical Sciences Research Institute (S3RI), which coordinates statistical research across the University.
You will have a track record of, or potential for, excellent research, and research leadership, ideally with interests that enhance or complement our existing strengths in design and analysis of experiments, statistical modelling and computation, or biostatistics. However, excellent candidates in any area of statistics will be seriously considered.
You should hold a PhD (or an equivalent qualification) in statistics or another relevant discipline, and have experience of, or potential for, delivering high quality teaching in a range of topics in statistics, at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
