Hi Kate,
Sorry if this is a bit too self-promoting, we produced a nice app for the Science Museum’s Information Age gallery in order to gamify the experience for school and family groups. You can find the app here:
http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/visitmuseum/Plan_your_visit/exhibitions/information_age/app.aspx
We also wrote an article about the approach we took, which you might find interesting:

Thanks,
Drew

Hi Kate
A couple of favourites from last year....
I loved the Science Museum's Rugged Rovers: simple, addictive & emergent http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/online_science/games/rugged-rovers.aspx
The V&A's Definery is a lovely webtoy:

(& I can 't resist a quiet self-pimp for a small experimental game/art commission of ours from last year: Alice Maz's wonderful Feminine Aspect, a branching-paths narrative using material from our digitised collections... http://playtwine.wellcomecollection.org/feminine-aspect/)
Cheers
Danny

Subject: [MCG] Best apps and games
Dear all,
A *very* general question for the beginning of 2016: what stands out for you as the best apps and games for museums/mobile/general innovativeness in this area - and equally are there fancy bits of tech that you regret or are more trouble than they are worth?
I haven't really had a play around since Wellcome's Mesmerism and Culture24/SI's VanGo Yourself, and probably there's plenty I've missed. I'm about to read Nesta's latest digital R&D report like a grownup, but also welcome a heads up for museum alternatives to Plants vs Zombies!
Cheers,
Kate
