The Complex and Sustainable Urban Networks (CSUN) Laboratory is
offering a *Ph.D.
position* on the general topic of *Scaling Laws and Urban Metabolism*. This
is part of a NSF-CAREER research project titled: “Understanding the
Fundamental Principles Driving Household Energy and Resource Consumption
for Smart, Sustainable, and Resilient Communities

Candidates are expected to have a *background in engineering* and hold
*interest
in the new science of cities and urban metabolism*. The Ph.D. work will
involve elements of complexity theory and machine learning; coding
experience is preferred although not necessary.
*The position will be open until it is filled.*
