the Center for Conflict Studies is looking to recruit a PhD candidate to research in a two-year project funded by the Gerda Henkel Foundation entitled “Global Refugee Protection and Local Refugee Engagement. Scope and Limits of the Agency of Refugee-led Community-based NGOs”, with experience and interest in Forced Migration and Refugee Studies.
Deadline: 22 February 2016
The successful candidate will carry out field research in a refugee camp in Uganda. You should have a M.A. in Social Science (Political Science, Sociology, Peace and Conflict Studies or related fields) and experience in the collection and analysis of qualitative data and field research. You will work independently on the project and contribute actively to the life of the Center for Conflict Studies at the Philipps University Marburg.
The PhD scholarships amounts 1.400 €/month.
The successful applicant is expected to move to Marburg and to start working on 1 May 2016.
