Hi
I thought it was dependent on the school's facilities as to whether students needing extra time were accommodated in the same room as those without extra time as not all schools are fortunate enough to be able to use a multitude of rooms.
Direct your teacher to the ICE Book page 16 - second item in grey down
Try to seat those requiring extra time and/or supervised rest breaks in a block and in a position where they will be least disturbed by other candidates leaving the room
It doesn’t say we cant and nothing about breaching any confidentiality.
Best wishes
Anna

Subject: EXAM ROOMS - Concessions/Access Arrangements
I would be grateful to hear everyones thoughts/suggestions on this query...
I am a new exams coordinator at Aylesbury College.
I arranged extra rooms for candidates that require readers/scribes and I have placed those that require only extra time in the same room as those with no access arrangements but the tutor whos students' they are has sent me the response below which I have added for your viewing:
'I am surprised to see that those with extra time will be in the same room. Firstly, they will be disrupted by everyone else leaving and secondly, it is a breach of confidentiality as it highlights to all students that they have learning support and they do not necessarily wish others to know this about them.'
I have never recieved this query before and therefore felt it appropritate to raise on JISC.
Many thanks in advance.
