UCL has a vacancy for a Web Development Manager to oversee and manage the team providing web development, web design and support for the UCL web presence including the UCL content management system, the search engine, the student app, blogs and wikis. The Web Development Manager also manages the projects carried out by the team and ensures the delivery of an excellent customer service. The salary is £41,430 - £48,873.
The Web Development Manager must have: web development skills including, but not restricted to, HTML, UNIX/Linux, CSS, XML, XSLT, PHP, MySQL, Apache, Javascript; a demonstrable understanding of web standards; a good understanding of design for platform and device independence; experience of developing for accessibility; experience developing for and maintaining web content management systems; good second and third line support communication skills; experience in line managing, supporting and leading teams; experience in managing multiple projects with conflicting priorities and tight deadlines; experience working in a team-based development environment employing Agile methodology targeted at high frequency release management.
