I'm always considering mounting them on acid-free card (or correx) and sealed in transparent polyester for display - but no-one's ever been able to find the time make up the jigsaws(!)
Another project waiting for the right volunteer.

Last year Father Christmas gave me a felt mat in a cardboard tube, which is supposed to enable you to roll up cardboard puzzles - didn’t work really, and I can’t think it would work with plywood ones. What about wrapping it (with a mount) in clingfilm? (conservation issues??).
