There has been a gap of 7 months and things might have changed from previous time. In my opinion, it'll be best to do another pre-employment screening and if there's any concern, they should be referred to the OHP for further advice.
Hope this helps.

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Returning to work following resignation.
Hi All,
I am an occupational health nurse for a fire service. For our firefighter pre-employments the candidates are required to see a Nurse, health and fitness advisors and then a OHP to confirm fitness for employment. Following this medical they have 3 yearly medicals which only a nurse is required to complete.
I have a firefighter who resigned 7 months ago and then has decided to return to their role. Personally I see this as a pre-employment as he actually left the service so fell they should go through the initial pre-employment procedure above. Do you agree with this or would a nurse be able to confirm fitness for employment on this occasion?
Any advice would be appreciated.
