Hi all,
I wanted to give you a heads up on something I'm trying.
I'd been feeling frustrated about missing events when Martha (and the
others at Frankly, Green + Webb) posted that link to their handy
spreadsheet. Thanks, guys! It's really useful, but I wanted to take it a
step further and create a calendar of sector events that's regularly
updated and in traditional calendar format.
So, I've piled all the events I could find into a few public Google
calendars for ease of access, so that they can be sorted, and so you can
sync them to your devices if you’re feeling keen. You can find them in one
place on the TIME/IMAGE website at http://timeimage.org.uk/events/
I want to keep this calendar up-to-date, but I know I'll never find all the
events in the sectors, and may well miss announcements of new ones. So, if
you'd like to help out and add to the calendar either now or in the future
you can submit event details here:
http://timeimage.org.uk/tell-us-about-an-event/
Because notifications are useful, I'm also intending to email round
fortnightly updates of newly-added events as a newsletter so people can
grab tickets whilst they’re fresh. Whether or not this proves viable will
depend on how many contributions I get and how many events pop up, but
we'll see how it goes. There's a sign-up form for the newsletter below the
calendar on the site.
Any feedback much appreciated; I'm keen to improve this and make it useful
for people.
Best, Sarah
