Congratulations to the people who put together the day yesterday at Senate House, London, on the history libraries available in London. It showed the real opportunities for a host of lis-linkers activities and re-awakens the idea of information planning and the nfip, for which there is still a list on jiscmail, and given the barrage of ideas around matters such as big data, all the more need.
Museums, archives and libraries need all the knowledge sharing that may be garnered.
The interesting matter perhaps is how art history for example, or pre-history, archaeology, what I call the A World, might be entertained without the problem of totality being raised.
