A prestigious London university is recruiting for a medical librarian job to start ASAP until the end of January 2016.
The Evidence Services Librarian will promote, support and facilitate the effective and widespread use of healthcare knowledge resources, contributing to both medical education and clinical practice. Key elements of this role are; exploiting and implementing locally a full range of healthcare knowledge resources, as well as e-learning resources, leading on the provision of information services to support effective healthcare practice, leading on the promotion of healthcare knowledge resources and information services to healthcare staff, educators and healthcare librarians.
The suitable applicant will have substantial up-to-date relevant experience in the provision of health and medical library and information services. Knowledge and understanding of the information needs of NHS clinical staff is essential, especially within the context of evidence-based healthcare practice. Significant experience of delivering mediated literature search services and of providing training in the use of healthcare knowledge resources is also important.
