Dear Colleagues,
We're excited to announce new functionality in the Altmetric Explorer and Altmetric for Institutions platforms that enables you to search the entire Altmetric database (which currently holds online attention data for over 4 million scholarly outputs) by ORCID iD.

Our most requested feature this year, users are now able to enter an individual author ORCID iD to see the mentions and shares for all the research outputs associated with that ORCID profile - including journal articles, datasets, books and more. Results can be saved to a workspace or exported for further analysis, and users can register to receive email alerts to be notified when new mentions occur.
As one of the early members of ORCID, Altmetric is committed to helping users get the most out of their ORCID profiles. Allowing users to quickly find Altmetric attention data for research outputs associated with their ORCIDs will make it easier for scholars to get well-deserved credit for all their research contributions.
More information on this new functionality can be found on our blog (http://bit.ly/1IvjYGT), and this video (http://bit.ly/1OzDBSF) provides a handy step-by-step guide.
Not got access? We offer free individual Altmetric Explorer accounts for academic librarians - please email [log in to unmask] to request a login, or with any questions you might have.
Kind regards,
Cat
