Hi Everyone
We have not had one recently and the issues that users were experiencing a couple of Thursdays ago appear to have cleared up. I will keep a watchful eye with assessments looming I think our resources will get busy in the next week or so.
Regards
Vicki

Hi all,
It's been happening to us, too - we've had three instances reported to us by students so far (although there may be more that I'm not aware of). The first was last Thursday.
Best wishes,
Anna

Hello Vicky (and all),
Many thanks for this information, it is very useful. Unfortunately we are still seeing the "Application Level Exception" message and, like other institutions, have found it a challenge to replicate it on our systems.
We have logged this with EBSCO (as Vicky has recommended). Could I ask if other institutions are still reporting an occurrence of this issue? And if so, how regularly is this occurring?
With thanks
James

Hi
We have reported this to Ebsco I would recommend others to do likewise you have not already done so. We have also found it challenging replicating the problem.
Ebsco have said that the "Application Level Exception" Error can be caused by a number of things happening behind the scenes and have requested specifics about the error in particular the source code of the error page. To gather the source code, when we see the "Application Level Exception" error, they have sent the a links to instructions on how to do this.
http://www.wikihow.com/View-Source-Code
(Right click on the error and click on "View Source Code") Once the code is visible, copy all the code to a text document and send the file by reply e-mail.
Regards
Vicki
