While not obviously an archeological question - it is related. I'm seeking guidance from the List on where it may be possible to view a copy of the weekly newspaper - Brighton Herald and Hove Chronicle for Saturday, 8th January 1910.
Unfortunately the British Library have nothing for the whole year of 1910, and "The Keep" (East Sussex Record Office and Brighton Archives) have every week available except that specific week!
My interest is in an article reporting the results of excavation work south of Bramber Castle presented to the Brighton and Hove Archaeological Club by C.W. Catt on the 5th January 1910. I do have a copy of an article from the Sussex Daily News (6th January) and also a somewhat inaccurate one liner from The Daily Telegraph (7th January). Additionally, I have located a coloured plan of the work (Sussex Arch Soc Library)- but not the cross sections inferred by the plan - and also a brief unpublished description of Catt's involvement (Steyning Museum). There is no word on where Catt's photographs might be.
The newspaper report, should I ever find it, may add nothing to my current knowledge, but then I won't know for sure until I've read it. So ... any directions on locating the article, or its content, would be most welcome.
