The Paul Mellon Centre is delighted to announce the opening of the first in a series of small displays featuring material from the Centre’s Research Collections. The first display draws from the Dennis Sharp Archive and focuses on one aspect of the collection: the controversies generated by the work of the Connell Ward and Lucas partnership in the 1930s. It includes original items – photographs, promotional material, drawings etc. - created by the architects. A full list of contents can be found in the pamphlet produced to accompany the display, a copy of which is available online: http://www.paul-mellon-centre.ac.uk/whats-on/forthcoming/concrete-controversy
The display, which is housed in three cabinets, is located in the Drawing Room of the newly refurbished Paul Mellon Centre and is open to the public. It runs until 29 January 2016.
