About Us
An exciting opportunity for a Statistician has arisen within our Intelligence Directorate, the location for this post is flexible across one of our offices in either, Newcastle, Leeds, Preston, Birmingham, Nottingham, Bristol or London.
Reporting to the Chief Statistician, you’ll undertake statistical analysis and provide expert advice throughout the CQC, across areas such as indicator development, thematic reviews, Intelligent Monitoring, surveys and other risk based approaches. You will need to be able to apply statistical tests, undertake multivariate analysis and build generalised linear models. Being able to explain analyses to a range of technical and non-technical audiences is also key.
You will also have responsibility for providing statistical interpretation of other organisations’ data, ensuring the implications of findings are fully understood and used appropriately to deliver CQC’s priorities for better regulation to improve care for people.
You will be expected to keep up to date with the latest statistical developments to ensure they are included in our approaches. In addition, you will also develop the skills and abilities of other Intelligence staff in the use of statistical methods through provision of training.
