LSE Library is seeking to recruit a full-time Acquisitions Services Manager (£42,280 - £49,675 pa inclusive). As leader of the Acquisitions Services team, you will take responsibility for procurement of books and e-books, licensing of course packs and scanned readings, and management of the interlibrary and document delivery (IDD) service. You will work to ensure that the Library continues to strengthen its content services - particularly for provision of taught-course content - delivering high-quality and responsive services, and taking advantage of new and innovative business models to deliver best value.
You will have significant experience of supporting acquisitions services in academic libraries, with extensive knowledge of scholarly content supply chain, including business models, licensing, procurement policy, and supporting systems and technologies. You will be aware of current trends in the scholarly communications market, and be able to apply that knowledge to ensure that the Library is positioned to take advantage of new developments and working practices. You will also have experience of managing a team.
