Hi Gregg, you’ve installed OSX 10.11, El Capitan. See the other threads describing the problem and the various solutions.
The easiest thing is to run these commands in the terminal (one at a time, as it will ask for your password after the first one).
sudo install_name_tool -change /usr/X11R6/lib/libSM.6.dylib /usr/X11/lib/libSM.6.dylib $FSLDIR/bin/fslview.app/Contents/MacOS/fslview
sudo install_name_tool -change /usr/X11R6/lib/libICE.6.dylib /usr/X11/lib/libICE.6.dylib $FSLDIR/bin/fslview.app/Contents/MacOS/fslview
sudo install_name_tool -change /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.6.dylib /usr/X11/lib/libX11.6.dylib $FSLDIR/bin/fslview.app/Contents/MacOS/fslview
sudo install_name_tool -change /usr/X11R6/lib/libXext.6.dylib /usr/X11/lib/libXext.6.dylib $FSLDIR/bin/fslview.app/Contents/MacOS/fslview
This will fix the fslview app so that it is searching in the proper directory. If this doesn’t work, then reinstall XQuartz.
