Subject: FW: Caribbean service personnel in the First World War
On Saturday 28 November as part of the First World War commemorations at The National Archives I am giving a presentation on researching Caribbean service personnel in WWI and Tony T is presenting his documentary 'Mutiny' about the British West Indies Regiment and the 1918 mutiny at Taranto Italy.
Learn how to research your First World War Caribbean ancestors. With research clinics where you can ask experts anything from tracing a soldier to caring for your family records, and opportunities to tour our research rooms and attend a film screening.
The itinerary for the day is:
10:30-10:40 - Welcome and introduction to the day
10:40-11:30 - Research Clinics and tea/coffee (included)
11:30-12:30 - Caribbean participants in the First World War talk and Q&A
12:30-14:00 - Research Clinics and Lunch (not included)
14:00-15:00 - ‘Mutiny’ short film screening plus Q&A with film maker
15:00-16:00 - Panel/open discussion
Mini tours of the research and enquiry rooms will be held throughout the day.
You will need to book a place via http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/first-world-war-caribbean-family-history-day-tickets-18667602301
