If any of you are in the area of the Northamptonshire Hinterland next
Wednesday 7th October CLASP(Community Landscape Archaeology Survey
Project) will be holding it's AGM and annual public open meeting at
Bugbrooke Village Community Centre, Camp Close, Bugbrooke. The AGM
commences at 19.00hrs followed by the Open Meeting at 19.30. Entrance is
free but to help us carry on with our work donations are welcome.
The principal speaker this year will be Emeritus Professor of
Archaeology Gary Lock from Oxford who will be speaking on the Hillforts
Mapping Project. Other speakers will update on CLASP's work to assist
with that project in Northamptonshire and update on CLASP's other
fieldwork for the past year at Bannaventa, the DMV at Thrupp near
Daventry/ Bannaventa and the two recently excavated 5th & 6th C AS
burials at Nether Heyford.
