Performing (Life) Sciences
An International and Interdisciplinary Conference at the University of Regensburg (Germany), March 31 to April 2, 2016.
Two years after the extraordinary and stimulating conference at The University of Lincoln, we would love to continue our collective conversations and therefore propose to meet again, this time in Regensburg, the beautiful Bavarian city on the Danube river in Germany.
As the tentative title of the conference indicates, we propose a focus on the life sciences on stage, or as part of performative / performance projects outside of the theatre. We might also consider the life sciences as a performative practice, ‘starring’ the patient and the doctor in conversation about the bio-medicalized human body.
However, all ideas and projects from all sciences and areas of performative practices are most welcome!
We invite practitioners and professionals from all fields to join the conversation and present their work and ideas. Suggested date: March 31 to April 2 or 3, 2016.
Professor Dr Eva-Sabine Zehelein, The University of Regensburg, Germany, and Andy Jordan, Senior Lecturer, The University of Lincoln, UK.
