I found that the segmentaion of the FSL FIRST package didn't segment the brainstem into midbrain, pons and medulla.
But my professor wants to see how the volumes of midbrain, pons and medulla change in the brains of TBI patients.
So I need to segment the brainstem into midbrain, pons and medulla. Can the FSL FIRST package do that? If not, how can I do that?
Another question is about the segmentation of the whole brain of the TBI patient. Some of my coworkers said
the segmentation of the Freesurfer is quite time consuming. Because we just need to segment a whole brain into
frontal, parietal, occipital and temporal lobe, probally, we can manually segment it using MRIcron. But I am doubting
a lillte bit about the precision of manual segmentation. Is it common in Brain Imaging field?
