Beginning to Tour Seminar 7 October 2015, Museum of East Anglian Life, Stowmarket, 10.30- 4.30pm TEG's Beginning to Tour seminar provides basic level skills and knowledge for creating, managing and hiring touring exhibitions. The seminar encourages active learning by sharing up to date examples of best practice and creating practical resources for venue finding, budgeting, hire agreements and evaluation. Delivered by trainers with vast experience of working in the sector, the seminar is also an opportunity to meet other professionals interested in touring exhibition work.

Developed in response to TEG’s current research programme, the new Economics of Touring Exhibitions seminar will explore the economic and partnership models that venues can employ to tour, drawing from case studies and examples of good practice. Aimed at managers, delegates will consider the range of ways to structure a touring programme, how to approach building a consortia of venues to work with, budgeting, fundraising and sustainable touring.
