A PhD position is available in the group of Frédéric Merkt in the Laboratory of Physical Chemistry at ETH Zurich.
The successful candidate will join a team under supervision of Dr. Johannes Deiglmayr, performing experiments on ultracold Rydberg atoms. The focus of this project is on the investigation of a new class of diatomic molecules, exhibiting an unconventional binding where one atom is in a highly excited electronic state (a Rydberg state). The PhD student will extend an existing experimental setup for the investigation of this system and perform experimental and theoretical studies of their properties.
Details can be found at http://eth-gethired.ch/jobs/phd_position_in_physical_chemistry/31399
I would be grateful if you could forward this offer to potential candidates. Many thanks,
Johannes Deiglmayr
