The Rosemary Murray Library has an excellent working collection of 60,000 books, DVDs and anatomical models related to undergraduate courses, housed on four floors in a striking vaulted building designed by the architects Chamberlin, Powell and Bon. The library serves 550 undergraduate and graduate members as well as college staff and fellows. The library has been using the Voyager Library Management System since October 2013.
We require an enthusiastic and motivated person to work as part of a small team providing high quality library services to all college members. The post holder will be responsible for reader services, cataloguing and classifying. The role will also involve assisting with user induction and communicating library news to readers via email, newsletter and social media.
The successful applicant will have a qualification in Library and Information Management/ Library and Information Science or equivalent CILIP recognized programme, for example Chartership. Applications from applicants who are working towards an LIS qualification or Cilip Chartership will be considered if they have the required two years’ experience.
