2016 MeCCSA Annual Conference Call for Papers
The 2016 MeCCSA Annual Conference will be held 6-8 January at Canterbury Christ Church University. The Call for Papers and Panel Proposals is now open. The theme of the conference will be 'Communities'. The Disability Studies Network is preparing a panel proposal submission and we invite expressions of interest for papers that will broadly speak to the conference theme. Papers might include (but will not be exclusive to) for example: Disability communities and cultures in the media; Disability communities online; the use of media in disability citizenship and activism; Inclusion and exclusion of disability in the media and popular culture; Community engagement / participatory research projects and methodologies. We welcome your ideas and look forward to receiving submissions.
Please send a short abstract of between 150-200 words (also including brief details of the contributor) to Caroline Hodges: [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> for review by the Disability Studies Network committee by Friday August 21st 2015. We look forward to your submissions.
