Hi Steve,
The ARC runtime environments get published in the same way as software tags in the information system. You just have to put files into the directory you set as runtimedir in /etc/arc.conf - for us it's /etc/arc/runtime. We have the following:
[root@arc-ce01 ~]# ls -R /etc/arc/runtime/
/etc/arc/runtime/:
APPS VO-enmr.eu-CVMFS VO-t2k.org-ND280-v10r11p21 VO-t2k.org-ND280-v10r11p31 VO-t2k.org-ND280-v11r25
ENV VO-t2k.org-ND280-v10r11p13mod VO-t2k.org-ND280-v10r11p25 VO-t2k.org-ND280-v11r21 VO-t2k.org-ND280-v11r29
VO-biomed-CVMFS VO-t2k.org-ND280-v10r11p15mod VO-t2k.org-ND280-v10r11p29 VO-t2k.org-ND280-v11r23 VO-t2k.org-ND280-v11r31
/etc/arc/runtime/APPS:
HEP
/etc/arc/runtime/APPS/HEP:
ATLAS-SITE-LCG
/etc/arc/runtime/ENV:
GLITE PROXY
These are managed by our configuration management system - VOs can't make changes themselves. With CVMFS the usage of software tags has almost disappeared.
Regards,
Andrew.

Subject: lcg-tags
Hi All,
what's the consensus on this: Do we still support lcg-tags on the ARC CE?
I can still use it on CREAM:
lcg-tags --verbose --debug --add --vo dteam --tags VO-dteam-SOMESILLYTAG
--ce hepgrid97.ph.liv.ac.uk
VO: dteam
Endpoint: gsiftp://hepgrid97.ph.liv.ac.uk/opt/edg/var/info/dteam
But it's not there on ARC:
lcg-tags --verbose --debug --add --vo dteam --tags VO-dteam-SOMESILLYTAG
--ce hepgrid2.ph.liv.ac.uk
VO: dteam
lcg-tags: error: cannot download /etc/sysconfig/edg from CE.
lcg-tags: error:
error: globus_ftp_client: the server responded with an error
550 File unavailable.
Cheers,
Steve
