Hello all
Have been asked to get some good practice information from other UK councils regarding EDRMS / SharePoint implementation and would be grateful for your help.
Please respond directly to me, and I will create a summary for posting to the list.
Specifically:
- have you done it council-wide, or only in certain services? What was the reason for all or limited implementation?
- what is the risk to the organisation of having only limited implementation - i.e. users still on network drives
- were there cost/security/other implications to having both network drives and EDRMS?
- did you implement the records management functionality of an EDRMS/SharePoint?
- did you migrate everything and then cleanse data afterwards, or pre-migration?
- did you only migrate data that was less than xx years old/ or other criteria?
- if data left on network drives - for how long? was it read-only?
- who "owned" the EDRMS/SharePoint post implementation?
Many thanks
Madi
