Hear, hear.
However, to do this I believe that the professional practice of design needs to shift from qualified, branded, and specialized conceptions of design (designX, design thinking, the traditional artifact-centric practices, etc), and instead begin embracing and building a foundation in a generalist conception of design. Let's teach people how to design in any context, across all sectors of society. (And still have pathways to specialization, of course.)
