Postdoctoral Fellow – Computational Materials Science (PHYSICS 15-0102)
The West Virginia University Research Corporation (WVURC) seeks to hire a
Postdoctoral Fellow – Computational Materials Science in the Department of
Physics at West Virginia University. This position supports the DMREF-NSF
project titled “Search for Magneto-electronic Behavior in Complex
Fluoride-based Interfaces” by Aldo Romero (PI), David Lederman (co-PI) and
Cheng Cen (co-PI). The postdoctoral researcher will be involved in ab
initio calculations used to characterize complex fluoride-based
interfaces.
A PhD in physics, chemistry, materials science, or engineering; and
experience in vibrational, electronic and magnetic characterization of
materials by theoretical means are required. Experience in the use of
diverse of crystal modeling techniques is preferred, in particular with
the use of ab initio codes such as ABINIT, VASP, Quantum Espresso and ELK.
Publications in the field by using these codes and with materials related
