Hi Tim
I think I'd Google for "free podcast hosting" - something like
https://www.podbean.com/ or podcastgarden.com or similar. Even if it's
not a podcast, these services are used to long-form audio so will
probably get you best results.
Or - given it's audio I'd probably try some normal web hosting. Although
they won't be optimised for streaming or whatever I suspect you wouldn't
run into the issues you would with video.
Couple of links suggest you can use Google Drive - or maybe another of
the storage providers (S3, Mega, Dropbox).
Another approach - and from a UX point of view I'd suggest this might be
a good idea - try splitting the audio down into "chapters". Do the
splits somewhere that makes sense in the dialogue, then title each one
accordingly. The files would be smaller and easier to manage - for you,
but mainly from a user point of view. Sitting down for a solid 3 hour
patch is IMO somewhat less likely than listening to, say, chapters 1-5
and then taking a break and coming back to chapters 6-10 or whatever.
..plus there are a whole range of audio players out there that would let
you string them together - basically like an album.
cheers
Mike
ps. you could even set up multiple Soundcloud accounts if you went the
"splitting" route, the user would never know...
