Subject: [Ica-osgeo-labs] ICA Open Source Commission Activities in 27th ICC     - Brazil

Dear all:

The 27th International Cartographic Conference, that will be held on Rio de Janeiro, is approaching (from August 23rd to 28th ).

I would like to invite those of you that will be in Rio to participate in the Open Source Geospatial Technologies activities here. See how you can be involved:

1 – Attending to the Open Source sessions on the main conference. Detailed programme is available here: http://www.icc2015.org/Programming-of-Presentations-ICC2015v3.pdf

2 – Attending to the joint SDI-Open Pre-conference Workshop, August 20th and 21st . You can register using this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1nJOy0a_-41LL6r_4LW4O6Hzm4hTupCowPz6diFvrYpA/viewform.
Thursday there will be commission meetings and on Friday we will have extended abstracts presentations. Proceedings and, if possible, video records will be available after the meetings.

3 – Participating in the Commission Business Meeting, on Thursday, 27th from 12:30 to 13:30, Room 2.  If you will be there and want to present a short report (5 minutes) on your organization Open Source Initiatives or your Geo For All network lab, please contact me!

I will also be presenting Geo for All initiative in the Workshop and in the Business Meeting. I hope we can spread the word with all conference participants and also strength our network in Brazil and South America.

I hope to see some of you in Rio.
