Yes, I can see what you mean. Still, I’d be genuinely interested in whether there are any black poets who are not of the identity politics/post colonial group, and who are writing innovative stuff, like white avant-garde poets. I’m sure there must be. It would be statistically inconceivable that there aren’t any. And if there are can you name them?

We don’t, which is why I couched it in those terms: “might very well not”. If one works in an area where the identity is valorised above any radicalism in the text (or its presentation), it is possible that one would be rejected for being “too white”, or not identifying enough. It depends which club, if any, you want to join: all of them have gatekeepers of some kind. I should clarify that I’m not making any value judgements here: I have no problem with writers of any kind being in any group, whatever it might be.
