Dear All
Without wishing to step into a discussion on Open Access and Article
Processing Charges, as the **list moderator**, I should ask you to
respect the fact that this list is for a wide audience and used for a
wide set of purposes. I should also ask you to refrain from rather
blunt, if not rude, comments. (Come on Doug - that is what you do on
Twitter!)
I'm sure most of you would feel that it is a legitimate use of this list
to advertise a journal, or a call for submissions, etc. Many journals
charge APCs for OA articles (often in excess of this particular
journal), but that does not mean that they should not be promoted across
this list.
By all means discuss the drawbacks of APCs across this list, but please
be respectful of each post.
