Research Associate in Statistics, University of Manchester
The Centre for Biostatistics, Institute for Population Health at the University of Manchester is seeking to recruit a Research Associate in Statistics to collaborate on a range of health-related research projects using a wide variety of research designs and statistical methods. You will initially be fully committed to a large-scale programme of work around dementia care, with involvement in other projects expanding over time. This is an ideal opportunity for you if you are a generalist applied statistician who enjoys working with wide variety of statistical methods.
You should hold a good first degree (2.1 or above) or equivalent in statistics or a relevant discipline and a PhD (completed or near completion) in statistics or a closely related discipline. You also require experience of relational database systems, a good knowledge of the application of multivariate statistical methods, and experience of using statistical software (preferably STATA or R), research experience and a publication record. The post is tenable for 30 months at 1.0 full-time equivalent. Closing date for applications is midnight on 5th September 2015.
Salary
£30,434-£37,394, pro-rata, depending on qualifications and experience
