E-Learning Adviser – Academic Support Office

This is an opportunity to contribute to the development of flexible approaches to learning, teaching and assessment across the University through the use of learning technologies. Working in the E-Learning Development Team, you will be assigned to nominated departments, promoting the VLE and related learning technologies to staff, championing their value in supporting learning and teaching activities across a range of disciplines at York. You will also assist staff in the design and delivery of blended and distance-learning courses and contribute to curriculum development and pedagogic support as part of the implementation of the York Pedagogy, acting as a liaison between departments and the central support services.
Educated to degree level or equivalent and with relevant work experience, you will have a sound knowledge of pedagogy related to technology-enhanced learning, experience of delivering learning technology training and support to academic staff, combined with excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
The post is available on a fixed-term, full-time basis from 1st October 2015 to 31st December 2017 to cover a secondment. The salary will be in the range £30,434 - £37,394 a year.
