Sorry to bear worrying news on this sunny day, but as you will be aware, the future of Media Studies in secondary and further education is far from certain.
In addition to the obvious threats to our colleagues' jobs in those sectors and the impact on young people of the potential removal of the study of media from the school / FE curriculum, further down the line there is an obvious implication for higher education. Film Studies is in a similar place. Here is an update from the Media Education Association:
