In case you haven't yet heard about StatsUserNet, it's a community site for users and producers of statistics to get together and share information. It is mainly focused on official, government statistics, but discussions about other statistics/data also welcome! The site has well over 3,000 members from all sectors and includes a range of both non-expert and expert users.
You can find it here: www.statsusernet.org.uk
Users can ask questions of others about the statistics they're interested in, share views, post documents of interest, and keep up to date about developments. For producers of statistics, it provides the opportunity to engage with users and keep others informed about their work. Members can also list events in the site event calendar, and post messages to promote activities that may be of interest to other members.
There are a range of communities to cover a variety of interests, as well as non-topic specific communities in order to keep in touch about developments in official statistics/data more generally. The main general communities are: StatsChat, Statistics User Forum and Consultations - these are good ones to join in the first instance when you sign up (find the list of communities by clicking on the 'Communities' tab in the grey bar).
It's quick and easy to create an account - you'll see an option to do this on the top right hand side of the homepage. You just have to verify your email account and then your account will be submitted for approval. Once it's approved (you shouldn't have to wait more than a day) you can post away! Please do join in with sharing information and your thoughts!
If you have any questions then please contact [log in to unmask] - we're always happy to help and talk about the site!
You may leave the list at any time by sending the command

to [log in to unmask], leaving the subject line blank.
