Fixed-term Lectureship in German
Applications are invited for a Fixed-term Lectureship in German at Worcester College and Lady Margaret Hall, tenable for one year from 1 October 2015. The lecturer will be required to teach German language classes as well as a wide range of topics from the modern period, including German film, for up to 10 hours per week during term for the two colleges. The lecturer will also be expected to assist with the administration of German studies at Worcester College and Lady Margaret Hall, including participation in the admissions process and undertaking the pastoral care of students.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Arts single or joint honours degree in German and be close to completing, or have completed, a doctoral degree in German.
Stipend will be in the range £21,261-£23,913 p.a., according to qualifications and experience. The lecturer will be entitled to the use of a teaching room in Worcester College, and to Senior Common Room membership, with free lunches and dinners when the kitchens are open.
