Statistician
High Holborn, Central London
Do you want to use your statistical skills to influence national and local policy on the care of critically ill patients?
Do you want to work with the largest high quality, clinical database (of over 1.7 million records) of critically ill patients in the UK?
Do you want to provide statistical advice on, and have practical input into, a host of evaluative and methodological research studies in critical care?
If so, please join us at ICNARC.
We are a health research charity which aims to improve the outcomes of critically ill patients in hospital. We do this through our comparative national clinical audits and our fully registered Clinical Trials Unit (supporting a broad range of externally funded research, including randomised controlled trials, observational and methodological studies).
We require a Statistician (£33,000 - £40,000, dependent on experience) to assist in the provision of statistical services within the Centre.
You must have an MSc or PhD in Medical Statistics (or equivalent experience); experience in the analysis of large datasets and a good working knowledge of standard statistical software; the ability to express technical information clearly to a wide range of people through both written and verbal communication; the ability to plan actions to accomplish goals systematically, including establishing time-frames, allocating resources, and following up on details.
