RGS-IBG and HEA study - state of HE learning and teaching at UK
universities – geography
The Higher Education Academy (HEA) is partnering with the RGS-IBG to
conduct research into the state of HE learning and teaching at UK
universities. In particular, this study is focused on identifying the
challenges faced by academics at a discipline level, and the resources
that are currently used in addressing those challenges. Sarah Henton De
Angelis is working on this at the Society.
To this end, the RGS-IBG has put together an online survey
(http://goo.gl/forms/rz5JFqvQNZ) for HE academics working across the
discipline of geography. We are writing to invite you to take part in
this survey – you can do this anonymously if you prefer. Your
participation will help us make appropriate recommendations to the HEA
regarding the most pressing needs of the geographical HE learning and
teaching community.
In addition to our online survey, we will be holding a number of focus
groups around the country in the coming weeks. These focus groups will
be open to those geographers engaged in HE learning and teaching. If you
are interested in participating in a focus group, please do contact us
for details.
We greatly appreciate your time and very much hope that you will assist
in this project by completing survey and/or sending us your thoughts on
this topic.
