Hello everyone,
I am a PhD Candidate at the University of Surrey and I am currently looking at how and why employees use (or not use) technologies to perform work during their non-work time (e.g., making phone calls during holidays, checking/responding to e-mails in the evening or on weekends).
Given the theme of this list, I hope some of you might be interested to partake in an anonymous online survey on this topic which will take about 25 minutes to complete. You will have the option to enter a free prize draw to win 1 of 5 Amazon gift cards, each worth £20 (Prize draw expected July 2015).
In order to participate, you should be an employed adult (18 years or older) who
• … has at least 16 contracted work hours per week.
• … performs non-manual work / is a white-collar employee (i.e., works in an office setting).
• … has the opportunity to electronically access work-related contents or to make/receive work-related contacts during your non-work time (even if that opportunity is not actually taken).
If you are interested or would like to have more information, please access the survey under http://tinyurl.com/Survey-Employee-ICT or contact me ([log in to unmask]). Survey ends 14 June 2015.
I would further really appreciate it if you could share this link with others who might be interested in taking part in this study. This would help me immensely in learning about the technology use of a wide variety of employees.
Any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Many thanks for your support!
