Lars, I think that's because of the lack of a better solution - and it's
evidence of the need for that better solution that you have described.
It's the old saying "Necessity is the mother of invention." People
invent when there is nothing that meets their needs. I think we can take
their "application/skos+xml" as supporting proof of the need.
I know you said that the LOD group list where you had this discussion
did not arrive at a conclusion. It seems that this needs to be discussed
in a current working group since the LOD group isn't associated with a
specific deliverable. The LDP group seems the most logical place to me.
Has anyone pinged them about this issue? (I'm not following that group
at all.)
