This is an exciting opportunity for an archivist to work on the records of the city of Bath and help to develop an outreach programme. A grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund is funding a project to deliver an archive outreach and cataloguing programme - “Our Heritage - Your Story: Explore the Past with Bath Record Office”. Part of the project will be delivered by a team of volunteers, and the primary purpose of this post is to recruit, manage and train the volunteers, develop and manage suitable listing projects, ensure the quality of the resulting catalogues, and assist with delivering the outreach programme.
You will work closely with the 1st Project Archivist (already in post). You must have an MA in Archive Administration or equivalent, experience of cataloguing and of working with volunteers.
The post is part-time (18 1/2 hours per week) and fixed term from 21 August 2015 to 8 September 2016.
