Dear colleagues,
we gladly announce that registration is now open for the Molecular
and Chemical Kinetics Conference 2015, taking place in Berlin, September
7th-9th. This is a CECAM flagship event.
For registration and other information please visit
http://page.mi.fu-berlin.de/molkin2015/
The workshop addresses the modeling and understanding of rare events,
metastability and nontrivial kinetics of biological systems, both at the
molecular and supra-molecular to cellular level. This year's edition
will include contributions from the field of macromolecular
conformational dynamics, reactive diffusion dynamics and cellular
dynamics.
Our confirmed speakers so far:
Peter G Bolhuis, University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands
John Chodera, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, USA
Cecilia Clementi, Rice University, USA
Gianni De Fabritiis, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona Biomedical Research, Spain
Aleksandar Donev, New York University, USA
William A. Eaton, NIDDK, National Institutes of Health, USA
Helge Ewers, Freie Universität Berlin, Germany
Erwin Frey, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Germany
Carsten Hartmann, Freie Universität Berlin, Germany
Xuhui Huang, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong
Wilhelm Huisinga, University of Potsdam, Germany
Gerhard Hummer, Max Planck Institute of Biophysics Frankfurt, Germany
Samuel Isaacson, Boston University, USA
Ulrich Benjamin Kaupp, Center of Advanced European Studies and Research, caesar, Germany
Zaida (Zan) Luthey-Schulten, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA
Frank Noé, Freie Universität Berlin, Germany
Vijay Pande, Stanford University, USA
Edina Rosta, King's College London, UK

Christof Schütte, Freie Universität Berlin and Zuse Institut Berlin, Germany
Eric Vanden-Eijnden, New York University, USA
Gregory A. Voth, The University of Chicago, USA
Pieter Rein ten Wolde, FOM Insitute AMOLD, The Netherlands
The aim of the event is to convene internationally recognized
mathematicians, theoretical biophysicists and experimentalists working
in the field. By this, we hope to push both the development of modeling
methods and the transfer of theoretical methods into the application
field.
Non-speaker participants are highly encouraged to present a poster!
Registration deadline is July the 31st 2015, and is on a first-come
first-serve basis. Please contact us at [log in to unmask]
with any questions.
The week prior to the conference, there will be a separate (but related)
hands-on pyEMMA-software workshop. Read more here:
