The Institute of Cognitive Science at the University of Colorado Boulder has a one-year position for a post-doctoral fellowship related to an NICHD-funded multi-site study examining the neurobiological and genetic bases of the comorbidity of reading and math disability. This unique study is examining a cohort of adolescent twin pairs, who have been followed extensively from childhood. The post-doctoral fellow on this project will be mainly responsible for overseeing the analysis of both anatomical and functional neuroimaging data drawn from the various sites as well as working on written and oral reports of the study findings. It is expected that the candidate will apply for independent funding for future years (e.g., NRSA). Requirements for the position include a Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience, or allied field, as well as expertise in either functional and/or anatomical neuroimaging, with a record of publication. Preferred skills are experience in collection/analysis of large-scale neuroimaging samples, high degree of fluency in computer programming (Unix, Linux, MATLAB, Python, etc.), and good communication skills, both oral and written. The successful candidate will have the opportunity for additional training in Neuroimaging as well as learning disabilities, and will be supervised by Prof. Marie Banich. Please send applications (cover letter, CV, and contact information for three references) to Marie Banich [log in to unmask]
