We produce something called Turning the Pages which we developed with the BL: www.turningthepages.com <http://www.turningthepages.com/>.
I won’t give you the sales pitch but there is a CMS that outputs kiosk and web versions (HTML5) and allows you to embed multiple text, audio, image or video files in each opening. Typically users create books via the CMS, but it can be directed to a data source for simple books.
Hope that helps.

We deliberately kept it very simple and had it deployed on our website as well as on a touchscreen in the gallery and are planning to hook it up to our CMS for the next iteration, as currently it is a standalone solution with static content. Being HTML5 it works beautifully on tablets, too.
