SCHOOL OF MATHEMATICS
The School is seeking to appoint a University Teacher in Mathematics (to
include STATISTICS). This is a two year fixed term Teaching Fellowship
style appointment, focussing mainly on teaching across a range of
mathematical and/or statistical topics, but with opportunities to be
involved with the world class research activities within the School. The
duties allocated will be dependent on the expertise of the appointee and
will include delivering effective teaching to undergraduate and/or
taught postgraduate programmes. The role will also include involvement
in assessment of students, helping to develop existing courses and
programmes where this is appropriate, and teaching related
administration. It is expected that the postholder will engage with the
research activities of the School relevant to them.
A PhD in Mathematics / Statistics and experience of teaching mathematics
and/or statistics at University level is essential, as well as the
ability to demonstrate effective team working, communication and
interpersonal skills.
The role is grade UE07 and attracts an annual salary of £31,342 -
£37,394 per annum.
