This course is designed for mid-career professionals and is taught by Susan F. Martin, the Donald G. Herzberg Professor of International Migration at Georgetown University. The course provides an overview and analysis of trends in international migration, covering topics such as the numbers and characteristics of international migrants; causes of international migration; international legal frameworks for labor and forced migration; the nexus between migration and development, security and environmental issues; migration and refugee policies and their implementation; and the integration and reintegration of immigrants.
